Matthew Teifke is a seasoned real estate entrepreneur, investor, and educator with over 16 years of experience in the industry. Starting his journey at a young age, Matthew earned his Master’s in Real Estate from Texas A&M and was recognized early on as Rookie Realtor of the Year.
As the founder of Teifke Real Estate (TRE) and co-founder of TR3 Capital, Matthew has built a thriving real estate ecosystem that includes brokerage, property management, and investment services. Under his leadership, TRE has grown to a team of over 120 real estate professionals, and his investment portfolio now spans more than 1,100 units, reflecting his commitment to creating wealth-building opportunities for clients and partners.
Matthew is also a business partner and mentor for Lucas Jensen at Winter Capital LLC, where he continues to share his expertise and guide others toward success in real estate investing.
Matthew’s mission is to empower others through education, mentorship, and strategic investing. John E. Laine is the Founder and Managing Member of StarterHome.Fund, LLC and a senior operating partner with Winter Capital LLC. He brings nearly four decades of real estate experience, with more than $150 million in closed transactions across multifamily acquisitions, condominium conversions, and workforce housing initiatives.
John has led and executed numerous condo-conversion projects throughout Washington, Oregon, Virginia, and the Carolinas, with a focus on disciplined underwriting, capital preservation, and predictable exits. His work is distinguished by deep partnerships with nonprofit housing organizations and municipalities to create attainable homeownership opportunities for families at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).
As deal lead, John oversees acquisition strategy, capital structuring, execution, and unit-by-unit disposition, aligning investor returns with meaningful community impact. He is a driving force for Compassionate Capitalism.
